Hi,

I have 2 immersion tanks. One on economy 7, which recharges during the night to provide me with enough hot water for small jobs during the day; and a bigger tank, which I need to turn on for about 1 hour before I have enough hot water to have a bath.
Is that the way it is supposed to work? Is there any thing I could do to have enough readily hot water to bath or shower?

Thank you.

Why don't you swap the wires round , so that the big part of the tank heats up on economy 7?

If you remove the cover on the "e7" immersion heater you'll find a thermostat. simply turn it up.
Economy heating should provide you with a full tank of hot water. The other is a booster to top up the tank during the day. E7 element / thermostat might be faulty.
