Would they come to the house weekly or fortnightly? And how many hours on each visit is usual?

An axe under the bed, did the cleaner make her excuses and resign? ;-))
Hi Sandy,
can I just add, 'depending' where they live, they may not come out for just one hour. Usually it's a couple of hours, pick a day that's the most beneficial to 'you' that fits in with your day to day routine, you may decide that's the end of the week or different. Decide what your priorities are, the jobs you absolutely need doing in a time slot. Ask them if there's any job they 'wouldn't' consider doing, that may not be evident at first. Work out how long a particular job may take and use your cleaner time to the best advantage. Lastly, definitely check them out, get a referral x
Sandy, amendment! Perhaps you shouldn't ask, is there anything you won't do ;0) ... instead ... are you o.k doing this or that ... phew!
Most cleaners won't do less than 2 hours at a time cos it's not worth their while.

My cleaner comes for 2 hours every fortnight which keeps it down, but I do stuff in between, so could probably do with more.
Nice to see you Sandy. xx Depends how big the house is and what you want them to do. I'd go for 3 hours, to include the ironing, if the house isn't too big., Good luck hope you get a little "treasure"
