you don't hear of that too often, faces persecution and her family have been visited by counter terrorism police. Why one wonders, should she be allowed to go if she believes in fighting against Isis.

Did you mean 'shouldnt' be allowed to go?
Question Author
no i mean that she is already there, if you read the link.
Question Author
perhaps i'm not as clear as i could be, its still early......
Then your last sentence doesn't make sense to me.
Question Author
i should have said shouldn't it seems, makes more sense.
but if she's already there, the question of whether she should or shouldn't be allowed is irrelevant.
Question Author
if you read the link it outlines what i am getting at, Because she has gone to fight, her and her family are being persecuted by the British police, counter terrorism, why?
It's quite complicated, I think.
Can we pick and choose which causes British people go and fight for?
It's certainly a lot simpler to 'ban' all of them.
So,what you meant to ask was 'why has this woman put her family at risk of persecution by fighting against Isis?'
Question Author
she must have felt very passionate about fighting against Isis to go out there and put her life on the line.
I also think your confusing 'persecution' with 'prosecution'.
Question Author
why are the police persecuting her and her family, she hasn't done Britain any harm.. quite the opposite.
11:30 - I think that goes without saying.
I think the CT police are just doing their job. Who knows what connections she could make out there.
Question Author
A government spokeswoman added those who travel abroad in order to participate in conflicts could face prosecution when they return to the UK

why if she fighting for freedom from tyranny, she is not an Isis adherent, that would be different.
Question Author
why should she be persecuted, prosecuted by the police.
Had she declared herself a jihadist and gone to fight for them, i could understand why the police were involved, but its the opposite way around.
How can we possibly understand the thoughts of authority ? I suppose really it is better to say that ALL who go abroad to join foreign forces will face prosecution when they return to these shores.
Question Author
thought there were be some sympathisers on here, seems not.
There is the possibility of capture and radicalisation to consider. Other YP fighters have been captured.
Question Author
sure they have, but she is standing up for something she believes in, how many can say that these days,
