My internet connection suddenly went dead (I'm having to use dial up at the moment). Anyone know why? The modem is fine, and the computer is talking to it. The status display shows that there is no signal to the modem from the phone line. I get a dial tone on the ordinary phone. AOL hasn't cut me off. The BT Voyager 105 ADSL modem diagnostic program says the line is busy (but it says that when the line isn't connected as well).

erm. restart your computer. if you have done this already and the problem persists, try reinstalling yur modem drivers.
I assume you have no or a no flashing DSL or Line LED on the modem ?

If rebooting the modem doesn't resolve it, and your 'phone line has dial tone, it suggests that there is no connection at the exchange to the ADSL equipment. This can happen if your broadband connection is 'accidently' disconnected or even given to someone else ! That will need reporting to AOL.
