Glue on kitchen worktop

I broke a serving bowl recently, glued it back together and put it on the kitchen worktop to set. Although the bowl didn't stick to the worktop, a white mark has appeared on the shiny black surface. I'm not sure if the glue has eaten through the worktop's gloss coating, or if it has left a film on top of it. Any ideas?

nail varnish remover????
You can buy Superglue remover, which comes in a small bottle with a brush. I bought mine in Wilkinsons, but you should be able to buy it in any DIY shop.
