Statistical correlations need to be taken in context anyway but certainly it seems that there is a clear pattern. What's important is to understand why that pattern exists -- and it certainly isn't as simple or as insulting as "you had to be thick to want to Leave the EU". The reverse insults bothers me just as much, ie that the more educated are instead as "out of...

We didn't really need the results of this research on here tho did we? The demographic of voters is clearly evident. With a few surprises.

Can I point out that nowhere in this thread have I suggested that Leavers are thick. Other people may have done but I most certainly did not, not would I !

What the evidence does say, however, is the less well qualified were more inclined to vote LEAVE, as Kromo explained at 13:17 today.

By the way Kromo ::::: "Nobody (except disgruntled leavers, apparently) is suggesting that lack of qualification = stupid"

The people who have suggested that are not noted Remainers, but Leavers !

Good, well thought reply Jim, at 14:04, hence BA !
//Just a quick point of clarification. As far as I know, when I cast my vote, nobody asked how old I was, nobody asked what subject I had a degree in and nobody recorded what colour my skin was or what my ethnicity was. Furthermore, none of these features are recorded against my name on the electoral register.//

Judge hit the nail right on the head.

You can equally say that the people who voted Remain do not understand the workings of the EU or either that it is a failing wannabe super state which is totally Undemocratic.

//In 1993, I wrote that there would be ‘massive political and commercial instability throughout Europe’ — and that it would be ‘compounded by waves of immigration . . . recession and lawlessness’.
In the mid-Nineties, former West German chancellor Helmut Schmidt asked to see me in the Hamburg office of the newspaper Die Zeit, of which he was a publisher. He told me he had read the chapter in my book entitled A European Germany And A German Europe. He said I was right.
He added that my group of friends in the House of Commons and otherwise were ‘the only ones, apart from Russia [from where he had just returned] who are not afraid of Germany’.
He suggested ours was an admirable stand but that it would not work. He regretted ‘the emergence of German predominance’.//

Bill Cash...... from Linda's link. They knew then after all, but did their best to bury the knowledge.
I suppose the thick people that voted remain can now draw some solace from the fact that they voted the same way as the clever people. It may be some consolation for the fact that they lost the referendum, and that they're ..well, thick.

Ludwig....read the link I have provided !

The only people who are using the word "thick" are mostly :::

A.....those that voted to leave
B.....those that haven't read the link !

For the umpteenth time, the word "thick" is absent from the BBC link.

Unqualified does not mean thick !
// Unqualified does not mean thick ! //

Sorry I misunderstood, it's all the old people then, they're the thick ones yeah?
