Turntable rubber drive belt

My turntable drive belt keeps falling off. It works fine when I test it without the outer turntable platter and rubber matt. Any ideas why this happens? The make is Thorens TD 280 and it's 16 years old. The drive belt appears to fit ok.

Hi, sounds like the drive belt has stretched over time. A replacement should cure the problem. An online search should provide a source for Thorens spares.
