Isn't it stupid that when you feel down that's when it's hard to get up and you feel like listening to sad music and just mulling around the place? Surely our bodies should have evolved by now to make us want to find happy things that cheer us up. Or is it just me?

iwbus I know just what you mean. I have had depression now for over ten years and when I am feeling really low I listen to sad music. When you are feeling low it is hard to cheer up or for anything to make you feel brighter.
You need a good cry, a sad film will do the job, a good old sob that you can't help, you'll feel right as rain in the morning. Try the True movies channel if you have Sky, not Oscar winners, but definately useful in the need a cry department.

I must be naturally happy!

I never have the urge to make myself even more miserable when I am feeling low. I deliberately do something to cheer myself up.

I think our bodies are capable of finding things to make us happy, just some people find it difficult or even worse, simply dont want to.

Ditch the sadness!! Try:-

I'm every Woman - Chaka Khan (is that the right spelling)

Another goodie is Aint No Mountain - Diana Ross

Happy music is the best. Get in the car and sing as loud as you can!!
