...is (a) a good thing or (b) a bad thing for .... America? the world?

I will give £50 each of the ten best answers (my judgment only - no appeal).

"Best" means: do I like it, is it tightly reasoned, is it funny?

I think it *could* be a good thing, but that will depend on a lot of things going right, and I'd probably lay my $50 on my idea of "good" being literally the opposite of that of his supporters. But indirectly, it may have good indirect benefits. I'll try to be brief, for a change, but: 1. Trump's victory is a huge blow to an establishment that has probably got too...

The barrage of attacks, lies and distortions against Trump by the media were unforgivable, some of us never fell for it, and now they are even apologising.
The snowflake-idiot protesters are countered by this group at Kent State U. Ohio;

I remain intrigued what lies you mean. Most of the time all the media did was report exactly what he'd said, which was (or ought to have been) unacceptable.

One of my daughters has worked there with injured wild animals, for several years. Her speciality is looking after the large, injured birds - Hawks, owls etc. though she deals with all creatures great and small, (needless to say, I'm incredibly proud of her) when they are recovered they are returned to the wild.
Fans are locals such as Pam Ayres and Jethro Tull, some time ago, Tull brought them an injured bird found on his land, was so impressed he gave them a cheque for a thousand pounds and left with a couple of hedgehogs for his garden. Every penny is appreciated and put to good use, that I can guarantee.

TTT, open day on ***y, eh? Naughty, naughty!

I couldn't find a Knuckledraggers charity, but I found another one which I you'll approve of. It was founded by Dian Fossey.

Every constitutional democracy should have one, eh, Ellipsis?

I've donated to the charity recommended by Tambourine. It's for a hospital ship in the Gulf of Guinea area. I found a volunteer worker raising funds on JustGiving and have donated the money to her.

There's a very nice picture of the ship here:

Haven't forgotten you, Jourdain.
v-e; You probably have read this by Taki, it's from last week's Spectator, which I'm still reading. (my paper copy comes a few days late, so the current one has yet to arrive, I could read it online if I wish, but I'm too old-fashioned.)

//From the UK's P.O.V. we are fortunate in that Farage has generated a positive feeling and this could help us greatly in our survival post-Brexit.

Sorry, vetutse, not funny, but there you go.//

Your observation is timely if not funny, Jourdain.

I've selected this charity for you:

Hadn't read Taki when you posted, but have now, Khandro.

Have just watched the video with Mark Blythe on Brexit and Trump. Will look around for more Blyth on YouTube.
I thought Mark Blyth's talk was remarkably apt, though I wasn't too enamoured with the summing up of the presenter, who is apparently a West Coast comedian with his own TV show.
I think the only real 'fascist' scenario we could be heading for would be from unchecked radical Islam.
P.S. I too predicted Brexit and Trump victory (to Jim) but I haven't as yet, been asked to appear on TV.
Thank you, VE, looks a good cause ... ___
