Continuing our conversation, I found it very predictable. It was readable and the psychology of the main players was interesting, but I was expecting more of a mystery and more of a twist, so overall a little disappointing.

I was just going to sign out when I saw your post naomi. Shame you were disappointed. I didn't expect the 'widow' to know where the body was buried so that was a surprise to me and then she obviously needed psychiatric help. I still enjoyed it and look forward to her next book. I quite like FB's style of writing.

Please don't misunderstand. I enjoyed it - I just found it predictable. I thought she might have been in on it all the time - wrong there - but I wasn't surprised she knew where the body was buried. She was a very strange lady. As nutty in her own way as her husband was in his.
Yes she was and I did wonder at first if she pushed him under the bus - but that was never really very clear? I think not having kids affected her badly. I have to go now naomi, sorry. Will be back tomorrow !
Question Author
She definitely pushed him under the bus. Speak soon. Have a nice day. x
I thought she possibly pushed him too, but it wasn't very clear. I'm looking forward to my next thriller. Reading The Day I Lost You at the mo, (not a thriller) but not enjoying it much, but I will persevere!

I’m reading ‘The Sister’ by Louise Jensen. I’m not far into it but such is the over-abundance of descriptive language that I get the impression the author has, at some time, been a keen student in a Creative Writing class. It’s advertised as ‘A psychological thriller with a brilliant twist you won't see coming’. I hope it lives up to that claim.

Here’s what it says.

//I pushed him away from the child. Such a little push, and he tripped on the kerb and stumbled into the road. The bus appeared at the same moment.//

Deliberate? Difficult to say.
I was going to read The Sister naomi, but when I had a quick look at it, it didn't appeal to me - not keen on her style of writing. However, if you recommend it after reading it, I will give it a go.

Yup, I agree, very difficult to tell if she actually pushed him.
Question Author
I'll let you know.
I have just finished reading The Sister last week and quite enjoyed it.
Question Author
Samuraisan, so you would recommend it?
Did you finish The Sister naomi ?
