I posted a 2 letters that were the same weight, from the same post box, at the same time, to the same address, both first class (one to my Mum and Dad and one to my sister) last Thursday. Mum and Dad got theirs on Friday, but the one to my sister still has not arrived. Does anyone know why this happens??!!

Because it's the royal mail handling them.....even though your letters went into the post box together they will have been split up as they went through the system.

PS your obviously not Scottish or they would both have been put in a bigger envelope to save on postage :>)

Thanks for that! It arrived this morning. Still think posting it 1st class on a Thursday and not arriving until Monday is a bit of a bad show. However, couldn't have delivered it myself from Bolton to Norwich for 28p, so can't complain too much (not lived upt North long enough for the 1 envelope thing to rub off either, although my husband suggested the self same thing!!) :-D
I posted 3 parcels to the same address in USA on 18 November ( had to send 3 separate ones in order to have them sufficiently insured). Cost me over 100. One arrived the day before Christmas (they were Christmas presents) one arrived a week later and one arrived at the end of January. And you think you have problems. How soon do I have to post them to guarantee delivery for Chrsitmas??? Hope your letter arrives soon.
