how do i find out the area of a shape?

That all depends on what the shape is.

If the opposite sides are equal to each other and the angles are 90 degrees then multiply the length of one side by the length of the other -


Example a rectangle 60cm x 30cm = 1800sq/cm

I guess you scribble on squared paper and hopefully you can roughly work out how many squares in inside the lines! LOL
