Email promising money; is this a scam

I got an email the other day saying I had the chance to win milltions, and it said to 'Please click here for your PIN accredidation'. I am very sceptical about this and have not clicked the link; I think it may be a scam, has anyone else received a similar type of email that turned out to be a scam like this?

I receive hundreds of emails that offer millions/ free millions/ huge genitalia/ pictures of copulating horses/ the cheapest printer ink in the metropolitan Houston area/ etc. They *all* go straight in the bin!

There is a continuous warning from my bank violaine when I go online to check my statement about the very thing you describe. This is indeed a scam. Never give out any personal banking details via e-mail as this is a sure way for criminals to empty your account!!
