windows media player - missing music?

i just opened my media player tonight and all my music has disappeared - i havn't deleted anything and have used the search to find it, but can't find any of the hundreds of cd's I had stored on it - can anyone help me? i did purchase a song from my coke music tonight and it asked me to update my liscence - could this have been anything to do with it?

Right click on "My Computer" and choose search.
Search for
.wpl
including the dot before the 3 letters.

Go away and make a cup of tea and hopefully by the time you come back you'll have found all your old playlists. You could just drag these to the "playlists" section of Windows Media Player.

If you don't use *Windows* Media Player then ignore everything I've said :-D
if it is media player then make sure the tick box for ignore deleted files isn't checked
when you do the search i should have added
