Thanks or the encouragement ;-) lol.

Because i am going to be one when i am older.

You have made me smile. :)

I wish you luck. You can start preparing now by looking after your health, eating well and exercising.

Firemen have to be healthy.
It is incredibly risky, but I think you already know that. It can also be emotionally draining (you could be the one who has to bring out the dead children afterwards - sorry) as well as the job carrying most responsibility (in a multi-service response to an emergency, the fire brigade are the ones who make the top decisions).

And, as Ethel points out, you have to be healthy and very fit.

But it's a fine job to want to do and I hope you succeed.

Thank you so much for these answers....

I will definitelt start eating healthly!:-)

Under paid, over worked, no respect from management, rapidly diminishing local service.

Firemen/women could do a terrific job if they were left to get on with it without interference from management and government.

My dad was a fireman for 30 years. Depending where you are based most firemen spend most of their time not doing much, putting out car fires or rescuing people form lifts.

The number of "real" fires is minimal in the grand scheme of things and while of course it's risky I think in my short working career (13 years or so) I have known more people die at work than my dad ever did.
