Hi all.
I've read an article saying that people are able to claim flight delay compensation up to 6 years after?
My family and I were subject to delay in August 2010 so we are obviously close to the deadline. I do not have the flight number,.just the approximate date that we flew. Is there anywhere I could look to find the details at all?
Thanks.

Thanks. Apologies, I didn't really explain myself very well. I'm unsure of the actual date, time and flight number in order to claim. I know the circumstances behind the delay but I assume I need the flight number and date in order to proceed. I need to find these details.

You don`t need a compensation company to do it. You just go straight to the airline. If you tell them what you can remember of the details, they might still be able to bring up the booking reference.
I'm trying to not be judgmental but really? 6 years ago!!!

What harm did you come to?

Claims like this just puts the price up for the rest of us...

I agree with you about the timing. It's the 6 years thing.

I had a delayed flight last year going to Ireland for a funeral. Had I checked my emails I would have found food vouchers from Ryanair. Had it been the next day we would have missed the funeral. That's a loss.
I think that maybe the OP is thinking it is their last chance to get some compo before we come out of the EU
