Google Maps On An Android Phone Searching Problems

Hi,
If I input a set of co-ordinates into Google maps on my HTC wildfire S Android phone, eg in the following manner, 51.062362,-1.777718, the ap loads as usual, then I get the 'searching' message, but then it can never find it, it just sits tere, searching endlessly, whatever the co-ordinates are. The weird thing is it used to work fine!
Any suggestions?
