Debated a few months ago between myself and a few others I think the final decision was something around the 192 mark depending on how strict a definition you put on an independant country.

I wouldn't want to start an argument, but it should be noted that the list at the above link excludes Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland.

That was what the debate was all about the last time round......Wales is a principality....Norn Iron is a province....same as Monaco and loads of others....the 192 figure comes from the UN.

UN? HA! wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw them. they always get statistics wrong. as for the link i provided it gives an actual listing of countries. or just do what my granfather did and visit every country!
