Just watched the latest ITV forecast.Lucy Verasamy's geographical knowledge is pretty poor,with her usual windmill action she was talking about the Pennines whist pointing at the Bristol Channel.

It's not that easy when there is no actual map behind the presenter to point to...it's all done with smoke and mirrors (or "bluescreen" as it's actually called).

I don't think they see the weather map we see- they have to remember where to point on a blank blue/green background screen.

Precisely; although one would have thought she'd have a monitor to glance at. Is this Lucy fairly new to the job ?

It's not only her windmilling her arms around totally at random. Next time Alex Beresford is on, listen to how he mumbles and slurs his words - he does it every time!

Oh yeah, Lucy Verasamy's there because of her absolute accuracy in all things weather related.
I knew that the first time I laid eyes on her.

Presumably people watch ITV Weather to ogle the presenters...it's certainly not for the quality of the forecasts....
