This morning listening to a record on radio 2 I realised I had the biggest grin on my face. I was listening to Running Bear sung by Johnny Preston. I hadn't realised it was written by the Big Bopper.
I was surprised I still knew all the words. Sad eh!
What do you consider to be a happy song?

Tonyav and Ann haven't heard of either of those two recordings before.
They were around about the same time as "Running Bear" Caran.
Also "Little White Bull" Tommy Steele .....I remember them all and still have the singles!
What about this one? I loved this!

Here's one that I used to love as a small boy ( childrens family favourites if I remember rightly ).

Ann, hang on to them, must be worth a few quid now.

I remember "Little White Bull" Tommy Steele was a real favourite of mine.
I remember going to see him at Manchester palace (I think) with mother and grandmother. Both of whom got carried away. Next day reported in the Manchester Evening News they said even grandmothers got carried away.
And this one ..... I had a crush on the school hearthrob called Bobby .... but sadly (sob sob) he didn't return my love and broke my heart ..... at 14!
