Should probably put this under Arts and Lit but - as it was Dot's earlier question that made me think of it - I thought I'd put it on here before I try there...

My Dad's dad (i.e. my Grandad) also worked the fields with a horse and plough. My Dad's always wanted a picture of a farmer working a field with a horse and plough (as it reminds him of his Dad), but I can't find one anywhere. I'd love to get one for him - has anyone seen something like this? Thanks for reading, even if you can't help! x.

I think there are quite a few on here:

well on the site it is from anyway

typing hores plough in google produced several pages of images
http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q= horse%20plough&btnG=Google+Search&sa=N &tab=wi

you could print any of these pictures.

there is a John Constable painting A ploughing scene in Suffolk (A summerland) c.1824
that can be found at http://www.nga.gov.au/Exhibition/CONSTABLE/Det ail.cfm?IRN=143490

I also found a painting by WILLIAM DAVIS (1812-73)
Ploughing in Cheshire (England, c. 1860)
at http://www.leicestergalleries.com/provenart/de aler_stock_details.cgi?d_id=&a_id=15033

I found these by googling ploughing painting - no doubt there are many more

One more thought if you cant find a suitable print or paintng to buy and cannot print in clour. If you dad has a computer save one of the images as his desktop.

Hope you find an outcome to your quest.

You are all amazing! Thanks so much - I could only find more up-to-date ploughing pics (without the farmer). I'm so, so grateful - my Dad's going to be so pleased! I might save it for Fathers' Day.

Seriously, I can't thank you enough - I've got a huge grin on my face! xxx
