When a message arrives from a member of a group I follow, accompanied by an image, overlaying the image on the RH side is a panel showing the original posted question and all answers. How do I hide this panel as it often obscures a part of the image I want to see.

Quite by chance I came across the solution. Top RH of the image, but to the L of the annoying message panel there's a faint double headed arrow - to enable enlarging to full screen. And then a conventional X to restore to the annoying forma
