Why does my iPad keep on cutting out?

Try closing all the apps then restarting it. If that doesn't work, press and hold both the Home and Power buttons until it restarts.

What do you mean by cutting out?

If you don't tuch it, then it will autopower off after usually 5 mins

I can be watching anything and it goes down, I then have to reboot it, if it's Facebook it goes back to the beginning and I have to scroll down to where I left off.i have tried what Jomlett suggested but to no avail.

Try resetting your network settings. Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. The only info lost is passwords for any wifi that you have already stored.
