If i type in karaoke on my download system it comes up with some but not the ones i would like. Someone said about midi tracks sounding naff - what r they and how do i get them?

Not all MIDI generated tracks are naff Scots-babe (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) These are made using electronic keyboards and the end quality will depend on the equipment used and the skill of the person using it. Early MIDI files were indeed awful, they sounded like Rolf Harris on one of those stylaphone things, however technology has progreesed much and sounds can be produced that fool all but the most experienced ear :-)

If you search on ebay you will find thousands of karaoke & backing tracks, both MIDI and live instrument.

Scots-babe,

Try ebay ! Loads of Karaoke style CD's and DVD's there at some bargain prices.
May not be free, but certainly not nearly as costly as buying them new.

Good luck !
