I've never travelled with Megabus but, while researching answers to questions here, I've often looked at their fares and I've frequently found £1 fares on offer.

I've just tried a random example of travel from Cambridge to Oxford on 20th April ('cos it's my birthday!) and all 20 services offered are priced at just £1.00
Hi, my son has had the £1 tickets on a few occasions. He has had to pay a bit extra coming back though sometimes £5 and on another £15. Still from Devon to London it was still a lot cheaper than him driving there.
I haven't but family have used Megabus from London to Norwich to visit. They had no trouble with it. The routes and timetables are limited and the buses (naturally) are packed, but they get there and back as expected.

How they can run for £1 per head beats me.
I know people who have had Megatrain (same company) tickets from Waterloo to Southampton for £1.
Daughter has taken megabus several times...London/Plymouth. First time it was a disaster... in her opinion.(no WiFi,crowded). But she's taken it since, with no problems..
