///Was there anything that would now be considered to be un-pc about the series ?///

Mary Whitehouse didn't approve of it at the time.
She decided that they way Frank rubbed his arm down in the region of his crotch was vulgar and was not suitable for a family show.

She was a laugh-riot our Mary wasn't she? A gift that kept on giving.

I remember her spouting off on TV once about 'sitting down at 6 o'clock as a family to watch a show on television ... and it was the DIRTIEST thing I have ever seen' .... blah blah ... foam at mouth ... collapse in maelstrom of self-inflicted outrage ...

and it was The Goodies!!!

Surely one of the most inoffensive (and terminally humourless!) shows of its day.

I remain unsure just what it was that inflamed the lady so much, if anyone is aware, please feel free to enlighten me.
I loved The Goodies when I was younger....
There has never been, as far as I am aware, any full repeat of their shows (licensing issues, I believe) which is just as well because most of the clips I have seen have been desperately unfunny. Naturally, there are a few gems, but most of it is dross.
Tim Brooke-Taylor raises a smile for his radio performances.
Graeme Garden is one of the funniest men on the planet.
And the less said about Bill Oddie the better.......
