It depends if you have any artistic skills. If you HAVE it may be a good job, if you HAVE NOT then it may be a bad job. There will always be a need for graphic design - for adverts, for web sites, for book covers, for record covers, for labels, for all sorts of signs and so on. So a good person will always be in demand.

Being reasonably artistic and appreciative of good design, I only wish I made the decision to take up graphic design as a career. But I didn't, and it's too late now.
