Every week or so Yahoo delivers around 200 emails (from various senders but all of it junk) at the same time; all have the exact same delivery time. Only a few are spam – mostly it's from places I've dealt with who have have me on their mailing lists.
Just wondering anyone else gets the same.

It's a fault with Yahoo's server. (Yahoo is a truly abominable email provider anyway).

When Yahoo's server receives an email it sends a 'receipt' back to the sending serving, effective saying 'Yes, I've got that'. If the sending server doesn't get a receipt it assumes that there was a problem with the transmission and sends the email again. If it still doesn't get a receipt it tries yet again . . . and again . . . and . . . etc, etc.

So if Yahoo's server is actually receiving emails but not sending receipts, you'll keep getting more and more copies of each email until the sending servers give up. (They then tell the sender that the message couldn't be sent so, while you might have hundreds of copies of an email, the sender thinks that you didn't get any at all!).

Switch to a decent email provider

and configure the 'mail collector' facility to forward your Yahoo mail to your new address. You'll still get the multiple emails via Yahoo but eventually, when everyone is using your new address instead of your old one, you can disable the mail collector.
