thanks boo
Strange, isn't it? Usually when someone claims credit for England when it should go to the United Kingdom, our Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish posters are, quite rightly, here in a flash, rattling their sabres and demanding a slice of the credit. This time though, they seem strangely quiet - I wonder why. ;-)
probably because the song was quite frankly pants LOM, even my hubby said the women dressed as schoolgirls (sorry he's a perve!) didn't redeem it as they were mooses!
I know B00 - it just seemed strange not to have nedflanders daubing on the Braveheart warpaint and galloping over the horizon screaming "och, d'ye nae realise he's as much oor failure as yoors, ya wee bampot". Or something. :-)
I was going to say how daft it was to have a 40 odd year old rapper (shades of Junior Senior there) but given what won, who am I to judge.

We think the Eurovision song contest has become a complete farce!! Why don't they call it the Eurovision dance/costume copying contest. At least the Finlanders, Lordi, were different, and hurrah for the blatent Lithuanians with "We are the winners, vote for us"even they managed to come 16th !! So next year are we going to be 'treated' to the Eurovisions gimmick copying contest?? and as for Terry *****,

I really don't know why I bother to watch it every year! (Grumpy old woman??)

I only saw glimpses of it - was that Gollum sitting on top of the piano for the Russian entry.

Well here I am littleoldme, it wasn't England. There's more to the UK than England, but y'know you egotist English don't see that.

But way to go Lordi, they f***ing rocked!

Maybe if the different UK countries competed separately, it would give us a better chance to win. After all, everyone just votes for their near neighbours, which is why the Baltic states always do so well
That's better, 198x - you've restored my faith. I was starting to worry. ;-)
