Yesterday I had 4 phone calls that came up as unavailable,(I have caller display).
When I pick up the phone, there is no-one there.
Today it has started again, I've had 2 calls already.
Is there anything I can do about it?
I've logged the times of the calls and wondered if it might be worth reporting it to my phone provider, would they be able to do anything about it?

Maybe.

Perhaps you want one of those boxes that reject unavailable callers id calls ?
I either let the answerphone deal with it or if cut them off without speaking.
If I get that I never answer them, it only verifies that your number is a valid one. If it is someone who knows you, they will leave a message.
incidentally the reason that there is 'no one there' sometimes , is that the call is generated automatically by a computer ; and some times when it dials a number all the people from where ever the call originates are on other calls ; so there is no one available to speak to you
