what are you suposedly lacking if you get cramp?

since being pregnant i get cramp in my legs, what can i make sure i get plenty of to stop it as i have to stand up to ease it and its making me tired! (that and the constant loo trips!)

Potasium, magnesium, and zinc.
It can signify a lack of salt in the body, usually caused by dehydration. Its not recommended to up your salt intake so just make sure you are well hydrated all the time. Quinine, found in tonic water and also on prescrption from your gp can help but you would have to check its safety for use during pregnancy. Regular gentle stretches should also be benefiial. thanks, i havent been able to drink as much water so i shall start drinking again, and re start my preggy vits!


i dont use salt in cooking or add it to my food, so that wouldnt be good for me to up - yuck!

I used to get cramp at night when I was expecting if I slept under blankets rather than a quilt. I think it was the weight of the blankets plus the fact that they would have been tucked in, so more restrictive to moving around.
Anyway, congrats on the pregnancy, how much longer to go?
i used to get really bad leg cramps in bed when i was pregnant my midwife told me to eat a packet of ready salted crisps washed down with a glass of soda water before i went to bed.

i sleep out of the covers! i have another 19 weeks to go, i hope it doesnt get worse!


the crisps i can do, but soda water would make me rather ill!
