I'm currently planning a trip that will take a entire year to complete. I'm looking for ideas that would be an ideal touring bike that would take me throught these place 1 year.
Traveling Distinations: West and East Coast of the following countries:
Canada, United States, and Mexico

Bicycle - A good quality steel framed bike that will take racks fore and aft.  e.g Dawes Galaxy, Orbit or Trek.

Motorbike: New BMWs highly overrated - unnecesarily big and heavy - Honda Transalp, Yamaha Tenere or BMW F650 will be better. A BMW Boxer of the old type is very tough and easily repaired.
