Cyprus is quite nice then but it is getting to be very expensive
the Canaries normally have decent weather all year round

Agree Cyprus, Apartment for a month can be had for under Euro800, due to there being a swamped market of rentals now, flights from Cyprus Airways decent price at the moment due to the new Airline Aegean starting their new London/Larnaca route. To keep cost down shop outside tourist areas for food etc, car rentals also reasonable dont take the price on the internet send an mail direct to the Company that way you get a good discount, I have done this for the past three years in October and allways come home happy with regards value for money.

We went to Turkey for two weeks in October 2010 and it poured for a week! Proper thunder and lightening! When it wasn't raining it was nice though!

Dubai, I would have said Egypt, but still not to sure of the situation. If you are willing to fly a bit further South Africa is lovely

We went to Italy Catolica in late Sept a couple of years back & it was beautiful. All depends what you're looking for Sunbathing, Swimming, warm beaches, Its a perfect time to see the country, hire a car see the scenery.
We found the days warm but wrap up in the evenings

Spain has quite comfortable and warm weather in October. If you would like to have cultural experience then you can visit the cities like Seville, Granada and Cordoba. They have warm weather during the day and nights are bit cool. Barcelona is also a wonderful city in Spain but it is somewhat chilly and wet in October but you wouldn't regret going there. It has plethora of attractions to offer.
