Hi, I'm bridesmaid at my best friends wedding in 2 weeks. I have striagt hair which falls about 2 inches past my shoulders, its hightlighted blond and got a long layer in it and a sweepy fringe.

I'm wearing a black prom style dress (strapless) and would like some ideas. Can anyone suggest anywebsites or ideas? I've tried things like weddinghair.com and find them quite dated! I'm looking for something a bit more modern and a little funky!

Thanks! :-)

go to a hairdresser now adays they have books just for weddings, your hair sounds lovely, why not just leave it down
Hi, I think you should go for ringlets, they are so flattering and feminine, you will look great, might sound a bit old fashioned, but allways looks really good, mind you I am a bloke, what do I know!!!

What about an off-centre low bun with a flower beside it?

Try googling "prom hair" or buying a hair mag with a special feature on up-dos as the mostly focus on cuts

Great thanks! I thought about ringlets, if I cant manage it I think I will leave my hair down.

I'm going to post a Q about how to ringlet my hair.

:-)

Hi, I was a bridesmaid for my sister back in September. Hair sounds similar to yours!!. I had mine curled in ringlets and then had half of it put up in hundreds of clips in a bun sort of shape and flicked around. I also had a sweeping fringe and it looked brill. lasted all day with lots of hairspray!! My sis's hairdresser did it though and it took about an hour so good would reccomend getting it done professionally.

Have a great time x
