Sounds like technical problem. But would like an opinion. I am 36 years in Credit Union dealing with the the customer their input of money and output of of loans and their payments.

Massive changes have happened to CU as they amalgamated 4 other CUs resulting 14,000 members so had to get new staff (I personally think they are now overstaffed - nevertheless). New people have brought in - some are paid some voluntary. I have been 36 vol and remain so. I am with this position.

I received a letter on Friday from manager (who could have called me up to the office) saying that from this Monday I will be "scanning".

Where is the bloody scanner, what does it do, how high is it - I am very much surmising it will be well away from the customers so lonely for me.

I rang her up and unfortunately she is fantastic at trying to win a point - "overtalks you" and you get nowhere.

She said it was to let everybody get around the system etc. Why did she pick a 36 vol compared to 2 years vol or paid worker.

I genuinely know nothing about scanners - what they do - is it is a monontous job - to me it sort reminds me of a photocopier. If it is and I go on Monday and find this out - I QUIT. Let me know of your opinions. She still wants me to work on the Tuesdaynight (which I enjoy) but I feel so hurt re this matter.

eddie - why don't do an invisible - absolutely nothing to do with this.

Anyway at 11.05 - my decision - I am not doing tomorrow to "challenge" her since I am not going to my usual job (why should I challenge my job of the night on the night) nor I am not going back to my usual job .== Let them ring me and see what the problem is. According to my post I QUIT
Your decision Jennyjoan, see if you feel the same tomorrow.
jenny -you may find it useful to go do an anger management course with the spare time you will have.
