I love the way the Irish celebrate St Patrick's Day with song and dance and copious amount of drinking the black stuff and all because the guy seen fit to rid the place of snakes, so he was canonised...Bless Him,
I think a lot of English love to join in on the 17th March and to get in the swing of things, I mean you don't see 'Morris Dancers' having a ball and singing about the old countries songs, they, as nice as they maybe, put a tunic on , a few bells on their person a stick with a few ribbons on it....and that's yer lot
Australia has a national day, so does NZ and Canada, all British Sovereignty's, what do we have...Ziltch!So today I want to be known as O'Bobbie coz I am gona be Oirish...OK
LOL

The Brits only get involved in St Patricks Day as they see it as an escuse to get royally rat-arsed!

Personally i think they all look bloody rediculous staggering around town wearing massive foam Guinness hats.

yours
Boo
An eighth Irish :-)
O'Salla - or O'Bananas..... now they have a very authentic irish ring to them.

I love draught Guinness, I love an irish accent and I would not turn down a proposal of marriage from Liam Neeson. Cheers.

Morning Bobbi on this St.Patricks day and a little Oirish chuckle as well !
Soon after O'Shaughnessy clocked in for work, the foreman called him over and told him that he had a phone call in the front office.
When O'Shaughnessy returned, he had a mournful expression on his face and his head hung low. His foreman noticed and asked if it was bad news.' To be shure it was, Boss, 'he replied, 'I just found out from Ireland that my mother died earlier this morning.'
'Gosh, that's awful, 'replied the foreman, 'Do you want the rest of the day off?'
'No, 'replied O'Shaughnessy. ' I'll finish the day out.'
About an hour later, the foreman returned to inform him that there was another phone call for him in the office. This time when O'Shaughnessy returned he looked twice as glum, and the foreman asked if everything was alright.
'Bejeezuz Boss, its even worse news. That was my brother, and his mother died today too!'
I won't be wearing a foam hat....
