I`ve stayed at the Sheraton KL but not for quite a few years so don`t remember much about it. I can remember the Indian restaurant there though because it was fantastic.
I stayed at a hotel so posh they prepared stationery with my name printed on it...

only to find a friend was staying at an even posher hotel where they actually embroidered her name on the pillowcases. I think hers was the Shangrila.
I stayed at the Parkroyal in Bukit Bintang (the main touristy area) a couple of weeks ago for a few days and it was excellent. Shangri-La is a bit further up the road and a bit more expensive and an excellent hotel. There are plenty more good hotels in that area so check them out on the net.
... i can recomment a good hostel as ive booked one there in a couple of days....
