The traffic warden had a very busy day today on my street and rightly so for the majority of prats that obstruct junctions and block the path. However there was one car that was not on the path but on a slight bend and it had a ticket. There was no other reason I can think of but this. Could that have been the case?

According to the Highway code it does say "do not park on a bend", it does not say "you must not park on a bend" So it is not illegal.

Must be an over enthusiastic warden.

Councils can make their own rules about parking though.
if it parked opposite yellow lines and left less than the legal space then they would give him a ticket,
Could you go back and insert a small letter into the bag on the windscreen explaining that they didn't break the law, to take a photo and appeal ?
but first check whether there is a parking restriction across the road and the parked car has not left less that the legal distance. (I think it is 8 feet from any double yellow)

It's too late now! There is no lines at all on the road never has been. It's just a residential quiet side street which is being taken over at the bottom by builders from a nearby site, hence the reason for the wardens in the first place. However I know this car belongs to someone who lives here (although I don't know them personally). Maybe there was a car parked at the other side of the road adjacent to that one and that could be the reason then? There wasn't a big enough gap to get past?

"you must not park on a bend" seems pretty straightforward to me.
