is it safe to walk to and from canary wharf from across the river thames ? is it also safe to walk around canary wharf?

You'll need water wings to cross the Thames to Canary Wharf!

There's no road bridge or footbridge conveniently close to Canary Wharf. The only way for pedestrians to cross is to use the Docklands Light Railway.

The nearest point you can cross on foot is the Greenwich foot tunnel a mile or two away at Island Gardens. It's probably safe enough but I'm always relieved to come out of it.
I agree,Dzug2. The Greenwich foot tunnel isn't particularly 'scary' but a quarter a mile of this hardly lifts my spirits!

so does the london underground connect with the light railway, i really dont fancy walking!
