Southampton to Bournemouth by Car

anyone travelled this journey by car in rush hour? What is it like?

Horrible. busy in non rush hour, deeply unpleasant at peak times. Ditto going the other way.

PS and really really really really nasty on a friday evening, especially in summer when the grocks add to the fun

I've done it many times over my lifetime. It sometimes takes 20-30 minutes but at other times it can take up to 2 hours. It is impossible to predict but an average would be three-quarters of an hour on an ordinary day of the week.
