// David Cameron has won the backing of Ulster unionists to prop up a Tory government in exchange for sparing the region from the worst of the planned cuts.

MPs from Northern Ireland are ready to join a coalition with the Tories if Mr Cameron falls short of the 326 MPs he needs to secure a majority in tomorrow’s election.

The deal would give the Tories an extra nine or 10 votes in the Commons and may hand the keys to Number 10 to Mr Cameron. //

Is this irresponsible (and unfair) electioneering?

Is it any more irresponsible (and unfair) than Balls telling people to vote lib dem so labour cling to power?

Yes it is.

Balls and Co. are advising individual voters on where to place their cross.

Cameron says £200million of cuts will not happen in NI in order to induce the DUPs support (and 9 or 10 votes).
Or Cameron saying Vote Clegg get Brown?

Isn't that the same as advising Lib Dems to vote tactically

As for unfair - take a look at Lib Dem and Labour policies - you'll find them surprisingly similar.

What you're seeing at the polls is a large scale rejection of Tory policies, they just want a new PM

“……in exchange for sparing the region from the worst of the planned cuts,” - Its inherently unfair if the the rest of the UK has to bear extra economic pain as a result of this Tory -UU alliance

and

Anyone who wants to be an effective PM for all matters in Northern Ireland cannot afford to be so one sided with the UU .
"Polticians in horse trading shocker...." No sh1te gromit! LMAO!
if Ulster is spared any of the cuts, it means other areas will get more than their share. Better hope it's not your area.
