Silly question time

Hi everybody wondering if anyone maybe able to help? I have a cold sore come out today, now the thing is does anybody know if the cold sore virus is contagious? The reason i ask is i went out last week & noticed somebody with a cold sore drinking & the point i'm trying to make is if that persons glass hasn't been washed properly in the pub could the virus still be on the glass & be passed onto me? Thanks for any medical people among you who can help LOL

Not sure how long it can survive on a glass but the virus is very contagious. One little kiss can pass it on....and never think about going near someones sexual organs while you have one as this will pass on herpes.....which is what a coldsore is.

ummmm i do actualy know about how it can be transmitted etc etc My point was if the virus can survive for long periods of time

Normal symtoms of herpes....blisters and such. I've never had a coldsore or herpes so couldn't enlighten you much more than that I'm afraid.

When you have a cold sore you should keep your towel to yourself but you can also get them by being run down if you are pre-disposed
