Unbelieveable. People actually responded!
I considered to be a real down to earth question.
'considered it'
I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question, how else do the trains get home when they have finished for the day?
yes Chuck, the train drivers take them home.. perk of the job.
they need one hell of a driveway to park one of those on.
Another prevalent theory, for which there is no probative documentation, is that the trains were there first and the holes in the ground were built around them.
I heard London Underground bought all of them holesale
Now this is the kinda thread I lurv

Question Author
Sadly, Sarah, I think the joke's on Kos (Sorry Kos!). Could any sane person think that trains were squeezed down the steps??????
"you responders" would imply more than one, Richieh ;o)
laughing at you as opposed to laughing with you fits the bill here
Question Author
Oh dear. Well, praise be, I can actually put my cards on the table and let you know that - as an employee - I am pretty much familiar with the Underground. Sorry if that hit a spot!
yes, a spot of bewilderment... you're not helping your case!

Oh, Sara, Sara, Sara my dear,

Are you taking something that was intended to be light-hearted out of context?

Yours, Richie
