Hi, I've just booked a long weekend in London at the end of August. Can anyone recommend a nice comfortable reasonable hotel in the city centre. We're two girls travelling on our own so somewhere safe, near a tube station would be best (thinking about coming back to hotel at bedtime!).

Thank you.

we always use thistle or gouman hotels paid for on our tesco clubcard deals!

this sounds a fairly good deal (I haven't stayed there so can't give a personal opinion)

If you're going at the weekend then check out The Holborn Hotel, its 4 or 5 star and was really good service etc when stayed there a few months back. x
My friends stayed in the Strand Palace hotel last year and said it was reasonably prices and a great hotel.
my friends stayed at the Regent Palace and there were no rooms available with en suite they were expected to use communal toilet aand bathroom at the end of the corridor, coming from the US they were gobsmacked and checked out again straight away.No mention of this when they booked on the web.
