How many of you guys out there know that the E111 form has changed? We didn't!

On a recent trip to Crete, my wife had a fall and broke her ankle. The hospital that treated her would not accept our form, dated August 2003. Apparantly it changed in June this year. We had to have a new form faxed from the UK. BEWARE!!

I was just thinking about that the other day, thinking ahead for next years hols.  Ta for the info!
so the form dated august 2003,how long was that valid for?sorry bit confused.

There is a lot of confusion about E111.

What is in no doubt is the need to get a new one for 2005 because the existing ones expire on December 31 2004.

To renew your form, visit your post office, or download the application at www.dh.gov.uk/travellers.

If you get a new E111 before the end of next year, you will automatically be sent the new health card which replaces the E111, when they come into usage.
