getting married in portugal

hih,thinkin of ideas for our wedding and like the idea of getting married in portugal,but have just read online somewhere that my partner has to be there for at least 30 days before we can marry?has anyone else heard of this?ive also been looking for information on venues etc but nothing much coming up apart from wedding planners and v.expensive 5 star hotels!any help greatly appreciated.
