The answer varies according to where you have been but is in many cases yes, it's true.

It's usually allowed from EU countries but often not from farther afield.

You just choose the country/food product etc and then submit,and it will tell you if the food is banned from entry into the UK.

defnately no meat products, there are many radio ads about this. it goes "sausages leave it out".
