a whitewashed village in southern Spain for a holiday, not the ones full of Brits but the true Spanish people for taking a holiday ?

Its more of a town than a village, but Moraira is worth a look. It is somewhere where spanish people go for a holiday, so you will get the odd brit or dutch person, but not many - and the ones you do find, tend to be less costa del pleb.

Hi which airport do you fly in to ?
Moraira's nearest to Alicante. Not really the south, it's closer to Benidorm, but there aren't that many Brits there... or weren't when I was there, but I was one, obviously. That was about 10 years ago.
Yes, as jno said, Alicante is the closest. Then its a straight drive down the motorway.
