Finding UK hotel phone numbers

Is there a way to find the phone number of a hotel online - whenever I try to do this, all that comes up is the phone number for the central booking office?

Have you made a reservation with the hotel online? If you have, then any decent site would provide you with full contact details and references. If not you've been ripped off. alternatively, phone the central booking office and ask them...

This was a general enquiry, Laura. Sometimes I need to contact a specific hotel by phone - I search on Google, but all I get is general booking numbers. Can anyone help?

Try using directory enquiries (on bt.com) instead. They should have the number of the direct line.
