For the life of me, I can't understand why such an experiment should be carried out. Surely no one can predict the outcome, and if it's going to cause sudden tsunamis and freak weather conditions as some suggest - I doubt the governments are going to compensate anyone.
It'll probably be OK, but whatever, I feel sorry for the French peole who live nearest to it, because I wouldn't like the thought anything like that happening even a hundred miles from me.

Yep - I believe the tunnel's about 17 miles underground Jayne - which speaks volumes in itself. If it was safe - why bury it that far down there??
It's supposedly going to create a miniscule black hole, and the excuse for it's that one of its purposes is to catch anti matter. They can do that already, but not in large enough quantity to utilize as fuel. So....their point IS????
